Corporate Lawyer

Bente Brouwer LL.M.

As a corporate lawyer at The Legal Company, I support businesses and individuals with practical and expert legal guidance. I draft employment documentation, agreements, codes of conduct and privacy and compliance documentation, review and update them, and advise on employment law, contract law and privacy law. In particular, I handle dismissal and sick-leave cases, B2B contract negotiations and disputes over inappropriate workplace conduct. I work closely with senior corporate lawyers, supporting them with legal research and the development of sustainable, preventive solutions. My approach is precise, pragmatic and solution-oriented.

My professional drive

My professional drive is to think alongside entrepreneurs as a legal business partner — not just providing legal advice, but above all helping determine what is, in practice, the best and most workable solution for the organisation. I focus on strengthening companies so they stand on solid legal ground and can do business with confidence. It’s rewarding to see clients grow further and become more successful as a result.

My personal drive

For me, self-development, friendship and family are central. I find it important to keep developing myself continuously, through reflection and learning from others. My friends and family form an important foundation in that. I get energy from good conversations, walks in nature and time with family. I also draw inspiration from films, music (ideally a concert every week!) and other creative outlets, which help me keep a fresh perspective on work and life.
